How to Melt — By Format
Wax Melt Clamshells & Snap Bars
Break off one or two cubes (approximately 1–2 oz) and place them in the dish of your electric or tealight warmer. The wax will melt slowly as the dish heats up, releasing fragrance into the room. Do not add water.
Wax Melt Shapes / Novelty Melts
Place one shape in the warmer dish at a time. Larger shapes can be broken into smaller pieces if needed to fit your dish. Use only as much as comfortably fits — overfilling can cause spills.
Wax Melt Beads / Crumbles / Squeeze Melts
Scoop "or" Squeeze enough beads or liquid enough to fill the dish about halfway (roughly 1 oz). Too many beads or too much soft candle squeeze can overflow when melted. Start with less and add more as needed.
Wax Melt Shots / Pods
Place one pod or shot directly into the warmer dish. These are pre-measured for single-use convenience — no measuring or breaking required.
Warmer Compatibility
What type of warmer should I use?
Our wax melts work with both electric warmers (plug-in or dish-style) and tealight warmers. Electric warmers are recommended because they provide consistent, controlled heat and do not require an open flame.
Can I use a candle flame to melt wax melts?
No. Wax melts are not designed to be placed directly over or near an open candle flame outside of a proper tealight warmer. Always use a warmer designed specifically for wax melts.
What wattage electric warmer works best?
Most standard electric warmers rated between 14–25 watts work well with our melts. Higher-wattage warmers may burn through the wax faster; lower-wattage warmers may produce a lighter scent throw. Check your warmer's manual for guidance.
Can I use my warmer continuously?
We recommend warming in sessions of 4–8 hours at a time, then allowing the warmer to cool completely before relighting or restarting. This helps preserve scent longevity and prevents the warmer dish from overheating.
Scent Throw & Performance
How strong will the scent be?
Scent throw varies depending on room size, airflow, warmer wattage, and the specific fragrance. Our melts are designed for rooms up to approximately 200–300 sq ft. For larger spaces, consider using multiple warmers or a higher-wattage warmer.
How long does a wax melt last?
Most of our melts provide 6–12+ hours of fragrance per use depending on the fragrance load, room conditions, and warmer temperature. When you notice the scent has faded, it's time to replace the wax.
Why has my wax melt lost its scent but still looks melted?
The wax itself does not evaporate — only the fragrance oils do. When the scent fades, the wax has been used up even if it still appears as a full pool of liquid wax. Discard the spent wax and replace with a fresh melt.
Can I mix different scents together?
Yes! Layering or mixing compatible scents in your warmer dish can create custom blends. Start with small amounts of each to find combinations you love.
Cleanup & Wax Removal
How do I remove used wax from my warmer?
There are two easy methods:
- Warm method: While the wax is still slightly warm and liquid, place a few cotton balls or a paper towel into the dish to absorb the wax, then wipe clean.
- Cold method: Allow the wax to cool and solidify completely. Pop the hardened disc out by gently pressing on one edge, or place the dish in the freezer for a few minutes — the wax will shrink and lift out easily.
Wipe the dish with a paper towel to remove any residue before adding new wax.
Can I pour used wax down the drain?
No. Never pour wax down the drain — it can clog pipes. Discard spent wax in the trash once it has cooled and solidified.

What type of wax is used?
Our wax melts are made with non-toxic natural soy wax formulated for optimal scent throw and performance in warmers. Specific wax information is noted on individual product pages where available.
What fragrances do you use?
We use high-quality fragrance oils, which may include a blend of synthetic and/or naturally derived aromatic compounds. Fragrance compositions are proprietary, but we are happy to answer general questions — reach out through our contact page.
Are your products vegan or cruelty-free?

Safety
Are wax melts safe to use at home?
When used as directed with a proper warmer, wax melts are a flame-free alternative to candles. Always follow the instructions for your specific warmer and never leave a warmer unattended for extended periods.
Key safety guidelines
- Keep warmers out of reach of children and pets.
- Place warmers on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, and edges where they could be knocked over.
- Never add water, oils, or other substances to the warmer dish.
- Do not overfill the warmer dish — liquid wax can spill and cause burns or damage.
- Allow the warmer to cool completely before handling or cleaning.
- Inspect your warmer regularly for cracks or damage; replace if damaged.
- If using a tealight warmer, use only 4-hour unscented tealights and never leave burning tealights unattended.
What should I do if wax spills?
Allow spilled wax to cool and solidify before attempting to remove it. Once hardened, it can usually be gently scraped off hard surfaces. For fabric, allow to harden, then flex the fabric to crack the wax and remove pieces before laundering. Do not use water on hot liquid wax.
I have sensitivities to fragrance. What should I know?
Fragrance oils contain aromatic compounds that some individuals may be sensitive to. Our hand-made products are made with soy wax "a natural and renewable resource" that offers a cleaner, longer-lasting, eco-friendly and biodegradable alternative compared to traditional paraffin wax. If you have fragrance sensitivities, allergies, or respiratory concerns, use wax melts in well-ventilated spaces and discontinue use if you experience discomfort.
